What this site is
OffPathNow.cloud is an independent editorial site. We cover entry rules, connectivity (eSIM and VPN), cashless payments, hotels, transport and itineraries. The goal is not to list every option in China; it is to explain the few decisions that matter before you book and after you land.
We are based in Chengdu, Sichuan. That gives us local context for routes, transport and hotel areas. It does not make us an official source for visa rules, and we do not pretend otherwise. For entry requirements, the National Immigration Administration and your airline are the authorities.
How we research
- Official sources first. For visa-free and transit rules we check the National Immigration Administration, embassy notices and airline guidance, then date the page.
- Provider terms second. For eSIM, VPN, payment and hotel claims we read current plan terms, routing notes, fee schedules and cancellation policies.
- Traveler reports as context. Recent reports can reveal practical friction that marketing pages omit. We treat them as signals, not proof.
- No invented measurements. We do not publish made-up speed tests, uptime percentages or “verified” hotel inspections. If we have not measured it, we say so.
- Visible dates and corrections. Pages show when they were last reviewed. Email us if something is out of date.
How the site is funded
Some outbound links are booking links. We do not currently have an active affiliate partnership with every provider. Commission does not buy a ranking. We include non-affiliate options where they are relevant, and we will tell you when a recommendation is based on plan terms rather than a personal test.

OffPathNow.cloud shares common ownership with OffPathNow.com, which operates private tours in Chengdu and Sichuan. We disclose that relationship wherever the tour service is recommended. The editorial site is run separately from tour sales; a tour enquiry does not influence product coverage.
