1. How we make money

OffPathNow.cloud is an independent travel research site. Some outbound links point to travel booking platforms, eSIM providers, VPN services or other products. We do not currently have an active affiliate partnership with every provider. Where we have an active affiliate relationship, clicking the link and completing a qualifying purchase may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.

We only join affiliate programmes after approval, and we do not invent tracking IDs or claim partnerships we do not have. If a link is not part of an active affiliate programme, it earns us nothing and is included because it is useful to readers. Active affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored nofollow noopener".

Programmes we may participate in, now or after approval, include:

• Trip.com affiliate programme (hotels, flights, trains, attractions, eSIM)
• Klook affiliate programme (attractions, transfers, eSIM)
• Booking.com and Agoda affiliate programmes (accommodation)
• Airalo affiliate programme (eSIM)
• GetYourGuide and Viator partner programmes (tours and experiences)
• ExpressVPN and Astrill affiliate programmes (VPN subscriptions)

Commission rates, cookie windows and programme terms are set by each partner and can change without notice. We do not publish them as guarantees.

2. Editorial independence & methodology

• Rankings are not for sale. A commission rate does not determine placement. We include non-affiliate options such as Holafly and Nomad where they are relevant.
• Research, not invented tests. We compare published plan terms, official policy pages, provider documentation and recent traveler reports. When we have not personally measured something, we say so. We do not present made-up speed results or uptime percentages.
• Local context. Our editorial team is based in Chengdu and travels within Sichuan. That helps with route practicality and local conditions, not with guaranteeing a provider's performance on every network.
• Corrections. If you find an error, email chengjiehe@offpathnow.com. We will review it and update the page when appropriate.
• Sister company. OffPathNow.cloud shares common ownership with OffPathNow.com, which sells private tours in Sichuan. This relationship is disclosed wherever we recommend the tour service. It does not affect our product reviews.

3. Privacy policy

• No accounts. This is a static informational site. We do not require registration and we do not sell personal data.
• Analytics. We do not currently run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking pixels. If we add privacy-friendly analytics, this policy will be updated before or when it is enabled.
• Affiliate cookies. When you click an affiliate link, the destination merchant or affiliate network may set a cookie to attribute the referral. Their privacy policy and cookie terms apply. Typical attribution windows range from 24 hours to 30 days, depending on the programme.
• Contact data. If you email or message us, we receive the information you choose to send (for example, your email address and trip details). We use it only to respond and keep normal business records.
• Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Email us to make a request. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
• Children. The site is intended for adults planning travel and is not directed at children under 16.
• Security. We use HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

4. Terms of service & travel disclaimer

All content is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, visa, immigration, financial or medical advice. Chinese visa regulations (including the 30-day unilateral visa-free policy and the 240-hour transit policy), mobile network performance, internet filtering, hotel check-in rules, and Alipay/WeChat Pay policies can change without notice.

Always verify visa eligibility with the Chinese National Immigration Administration, your airline and an official visa application centre before booking non-refundable travel. Prices, availability, opening hours and product terms shown on third-party sites are controlled by those third parties.

We are not responsible for the content, availability or performance of external websites, or for any loss arising from reliance on information published here. Links do not imply endorsement of every product or service offered by a partner.

By using this site, you agree to use it lawfully and not to misrepresent your identity or misuse the content. These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the site operator. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
